Trout Farming Project

With a view to commercializing a land-based aquaculture project, FRD Japan is constructing and operating a large scale trout farming plant. We are currently developing and operating a pilot plant in the city of Kisarazu in Chiba Prefecture, near Tokyo. We aim to use the results of this project to expand to a commercial plant in 2020. If the commercial plant becomes profitable, it will serve as a successful model for the world’s first large-scale land-based Closed RAS farming business. We plan to develop a number of such commercial plants in other parts of Asia in the future.
